Trivia Answer (February 2012)
(Updated 02/03/2012)

Who has the most top-10 hit songs, of the 21st century?

  1. Beyonce (21)

  2. Rihanna (19)

When you include her top-10 hits solo (13) and her top-10 hits with her former group Destiny's Child (8) since the year 2000, than superstar singer Beyonce is still #1 among all acts for most top-10 hit songs, in the 21st century, with 21 top-10 songs. But, another singer is hot on her heels and closing fast. Rihanna has 19 top-10 hits, from her first top-10 song, "Pon De Replay" in 2005, to her current top-10 hit "We Found Love".
Rihanna is on a roll, but as of now, Beyonce is still the leader for artist with the most top-10 hit songs, in the 21st century.

[More Info.: Beyonce also reached the top-10 with Destiny's Child before the start of the 21st century. They had two top-10 songs in the 1990's. That gives Beyonce 23 top-10 songs for her career, on the pop singles chart.]

More Trivia:

What song has spent the most weeks at #1, in the 21st century?

  1. We Belong Together - Mariah Carey (15)

  2. Yeah! - Usher featuring Ludacris & Lil Jon (13)

  3. Dilemma - Nelly featuring Kelly Rowland (12)
  3. Lose Yourself - Eminem (12)
  3. Hey Ya! - OutKast (12)

This record belongs to a singing star who has been hitting the charts since 1990, when she went to #1 with her first hit "Vision Of Love". She was the hottest act on the charts in 2005 when her CD "The Emancipation Of Mimi" sold over 6 million copies and gave her several big hits, including the mega-smash "We Belong Together", which spent a record setting 15 weeks at #1.
"We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey is the song with the most weeks at #1. No song has spent more than 15 weeks at #1 so far this century.

[More Info.: In second place is a guy who was the hottest act on the charts in 2004. His CD "Confessions" sold over 8 million copies and gave him hit after hit on the charts including the giant-jam called "Yeah!", which spent a then-record 13 weeks at #1.]

What song has spent the most weeks in the top 10, in the 21st century?

   1. Yeah! - Usher featuring Ludacris & Lil Jon (26)

   2. Apologize - Timbaland featuring OneRepublic (25)
   2. Low - Flo Rida featuring T-Pain (25)

A visitor to www.JamsNetwork.com noticed that, in 2008, the song "Apologize" spent a "long time" in the top 10, and she wants to know if it set a new record.
The answer is that it came close, but it didn't set a record.
The song with the most weeks in the top 10 set this record back in 2004. That's when Usher spent 26 straight weeks (half-a-year) in the top 10, including 13 weeks at #1, with his song called "Yeah!". Most songs don't even spend 26 weeks in the entire JamsNetwork Top 50™, but "Yeah!" by Usher, Ludacris and Lil Jon, spent a record 26 weeks in the top 10. That's more weeks in the top 10 than any other song so far this century.

[More Info.: Two songs are tied for second place with 25 weeks each in the top 10 - "Apologize" (in the year 2008) and "Low" (also in 2008).]
